Earn Out Loud

Hey friend,
Imagine that you’re back in the sixth grade, sitting in science class, and your teacher says, “Nothing travels faster than the speed of light.”
If you’re like me, your first thought is, “Who cares?”
Now that I work and invest in technology… I do.
And so does the world's largest company.
Actually, Nvidia cares so much that they just spent $4 billion to send computer data through light instead of electricity.
Electricity Isn’t Fast Enough for AI
When you talk to ChatGPT, you aren’t talking to a single AI computer. You’re essentially talking to thousands at the same time.
Data centers have thousands of computer chips working together, processing your information and sending data to each other.
That’s why AI can respond so quickly.
Nvidia makes the fastest computer chips on the market.
But they've gotten so fast that even electricity can’t move the data fast enough to keep up.
So when the AI quickly finishes processing data, it just… sits. Waiting for the rest to catch up. That means your AI responses will get slower and slower.
And as AI systems get bigger, that waiting game will get even worse.
That’s not good for business.
So, what’s the long-term solution?
Nvidia Uses Light
The only obvious answer is one you got in sixth grade.
Instead of sending all that data through electrical currents, Nvidia will use the fastest thing known to man. Quite literally, they’re going to use light to send data.
It’s called silicon photonics.
And if they get it right, it could change the way data is sent across all devices, forever.
Why This Matters to Investors
In March 2026, Nvidia invested $4 billion in two companies that specialize in photonics, lasers, and optical networking parts.
Both companies skyrocketed over the last six months:
Coherent Corp is up 82%
Lumentum Holdings rose 128%

COHR stock increased 82% between January and July 2026.

LITE stock increased 128% between January and July 2026.
Big Beginner Insight
As investors, we spend a lot of time searching for the next big technology.
These days, the answer is obvious: AI.
Sometimes the better question is, “What will that technology need to keep growing?”
That can be a much more useful place for your money.

Keep investing in tech that shapes your future,
